Booker T. Washington High School Shreveport Lockdown – Following Reported Bomb Threat

Authorities in Shreveport, Louisiana have placed Booker T. Washington High School on lockdown after a reported bomb threat prompted a large-scale emergency response.

Officials said an unidentified caller contacted emergency dispatch with multiple violent threats, including claims of a potential bombing, immediately triggering school safety protocols.

Deputies from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office responded with multiple units to secure the campus and began a systematic sweep of all buildings. Special response teams have also been deployed to assist in clearing the school and ensuring the safety of students and staff.

The lockdown remains in effect while officers continue their search. At this time, no injuries or devices have been reported, and authorities are assessing the credibility of the threat. Officials confirmed that senior students are not on campus, though the total number of individuals present during the lockdown has not been disclosed.
