Felisha Roe Natchitoches Parish, LA Car Accident Death – Family and Friends Mourn the loss

A quiet stretch of Interstate 49 turned tragic early Thursday morning when a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of 40-year-old Felisha Roe of Palestine, Texas. Louisiana State Police reported that troopers were dispatched shortly before 3:00 a.m. on May 21, 2026, to the northbound lanes just north of Natchitoches after receiving reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway and overturned.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Roe was driving a 2026 Nissan northbound when, for reasons still under review, the vehicle lost control, veered off the highway, and overturned off the roadside. Emergency responders arrived to find the vehicle severely damaged. Roe, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have collected routine toxicology samples as part of the ongoing investigation. The exact circumstances leading to the crash remain under review, including factors that contributed to the vehicle leaving the roadway. Investigators emphasized the importance of seat belt use, noting it remains one of the most effective ways to reduce fatalities and serious injuries in vehicle accidents.

The early-morning crash prompted an immediate response from law enforcement and emergency crews, temporarily slowing traffic as the scene was secured, evidence collected, and the vehicle removed. Louisiana State Police continue to reconstruct the incident and will release additional information as the investigation progresses.

Felisha Roe’s sudden passing is a sobering reminder of the risks associated with vehicle accidents and the importance of roadway safety. Friends and family, along with the broader community, are left mourning the loss of a life taken far too soon.
